I traded in a 2006 x300 for a brand new x500. The x300 trans was slowing down and getting louder so I thought now was the perfect time. She's got the 48inch deck and the HDAP rear tires. 8 hours on her so far and I love it. First oil and filter change was yesterday.

What is the size of your rear tires?
They look very small.
Small LOL, they are bigger than my 425 AWS rear tires. Mine are 23x10.5 on 12x8.5 rims.

The 24x12x12 HDAPs are 1.5" bigger in diameter, and 1.2" wider. I am looking to upgrade to these tires on my 425 AWS, since my tires are 15 years old and in bad shape. I just need to get the spacers from JD or the 9.5" wide rims, the spacers are cheaper.

My x300 had 276 hours on it. I used her pretty hard while I had it. Mowed 2 acres with it in the summer and pushed snow the last four winters. I live in Michigan so she moved some pretty good snow piles. I can't wait to see what the 500 will do in the snow. Anyone out there have any input regarding pushing snow with a 500?

You'll find that the differential lock button comes in really handy at times. I push snow out of our 72'x22' driveway with my X500 after most snowfalls here. Only once in a great while do I need to get at least some of the snow with my big walk-behind blower.

For sure, you'll want the remote blade angling kit to go along with the 48" blade.
