So when I left for college 20 yrs ago my dad and grandad put the farmland in CRP and my dad just runs a few cattle now, he never cared much for the farming side of it.
I've lived in the city now for 20 yrs and the tractors just won't leave my system. I ony have about 3/4 of an acre that I've always mowed with my push mower. My wife suggested I get a rding one and I started looking around and found this Garden Tractor world.
This spring I bought a 1200 Cub and my wife said she's never seen me grin so much. It's a nice tractor... the itch has started and this weekend I bought a Massey 12, because it looked sort of like the 1805 front end.
This thing is gonna take some serious love, and I'm not sure if I have the resolve to restore it....but I'm gonna bug the heck out of the guys on the Massey Garden tractor forum.
Cool, another Texan!! I love that Massey!!!!!! My Grandpa had a Massey diesel in the 80s and 90s, he bought it in new in the early 80s, not sure what model is was, I used to climb on it and play with the gear levers at 4 yrs old!! He bought me a small pedal tractor just to keep me off it. Anyway, cool tractor, and hope you can get it restored!!!
