SLOW!! SLOW!! SLOW!! Did anyone get that. When you are on an incline or a bank that is how you go, SLOW.
I have a ditch bank along the road that I mow. It was fine until the state made the road wider, making the bank steeper. The first time I tried to mow it I found I couldn't. I didn't tip over though. I was creeping along in second low range. When the tire on the high side started to slip, I backed out and quit.
Now that erosion has made it less steep I can mow one pass to keep the grass and weeds down so water can flow faster. This is always with the tires on the low side in the ditch so the tractor can't slide down and tip over.
Don't have the tractor in 4wd on a side hill. You won't know if the rear tire on the high side is getting light with the front wheels pulling. Don't lock the rear end, same reason. You can go fast and try to get done fast. It might be the last funeral you go to, your own.
