A couple weeks ago I found another 6251, listed as "old lawn-boy." Looked good in the pictures so I went and picked it up.

Got it home, poured a little mix down the carb throat and it fired up! So I cleaned the carb in the parts washer, then compressed air. Got my air filter and new blade for it today (the old blade was complete trash). This thing starts on the 1st pull cold (video was a warm start).

Very Nice Machine/machines. Those 6251s are sweet. Very nice. Thanks for the pics. Congrats on the 1000th post. The first 1000 posts take the longest. I didnt even know i had 2000 until today.

I find it amazing how something like this can remain intact for so many years. It was sitting in the corner of a barn for who knows how long, and thankfully the guy listed it on CL instead of throwing it away.

It is a 21" but it is a C engine, C19 I believe. The recoil on the top makes this thing super easy to start in my opinion. I wish we would get some rain so the grass would grow, then I'd use it.

We just got some rain here and more to come. I might pull my C engined 8F20K out and do alot of high-grass mowing before I put her on the shelf for storage.
