noticing the three holes in a F engine on the exhaust port would it be a increase of performance if the port was just completely open? possibly better flow for more power im just been thinking about this for a few years would this work or ruin the engine???

I wouldn't want the rings running over a single port that large
ok then a bad idea but is there a way i can make the muffler less restrictive like drill holes in it

The muffler is working as an expansion chamber, I wouldn't mess with the muffler. It's said these aren't "tuned" but they i think they are for the narrow RPM range they operate in. They obviously have an expansion chamber with a pea shooter outlet.

One thing I like to do is smooth out that port area where the engine and muffler plate meet, along with the gasket. Helps the flow a bit right out of the engine and that ledge is a carbon buildup spot. I've ported out those exhaust holes a bit with good results.
