Are those Cragars standard equipment?

Looking at the last "station wagon" in production, I think I'd opt for the Rambler.

I predict that in the future, one body style will be formed of plastic. Depending you the buyer's choices, "wraps" will be applied to that one body style to represent the buyer's selection. Much like today's NHRA funny cars, grille, headlights, logos, its all "painted on".

The old 'Rammer' 'Slambler'. That was built back before they were 'A Man's Car'. Back when Rambler was Rambler.
Not a popular car like Ford,Gm and Chrysler, but they are worth some money today.

A '59 Rambler Wagon was my first car. Push button Torque Flight trans, good mileage and fold-down seats. What more could a young man want in 1970?
Back in the day, they were a good 'Party Car' You loaded all your friends in them with plenty of room to spare, threw a keg or two of beer in the back and drove around and the cops never bothered you. They didn't expect a bunch of kids in the Rambler station wagon were driving around up to 'No Good'.
The Rambler and the Olds Vista Cruiser were the ultimate 'Party Wagons' in their day to take the gang to the rock concerts with.
Almost forgot, those cars were a reason your Parents became Grandparents unexpectedly when you used them to take your Date out for a ride in the country.

Back in the day the old 'Bangin Wagon's' came in handy for a lot more than people knew.
Especially if your parents didn't find out. Lol
We had a 77 Furd Torino wagon as the family truckster. When my Rambler 220 cracked the flathead my grandfather bought a 77 Celica GT hatchback to replace it for me but, Mom took it over and I got stuck driving the wagon.

My cousin has one of those with the Borg-Warner 4 speed, all original, he's the second owner of it.
It has the 290 Typhoon motor in it. It is a rare car.
There were also 3 Marlin's owned in the family, he has one of them running now.
Some of those little 290 motors were high compression engines that ran good on the Blue Av gas.

My mechanic friends here in town built the engine in this one.

It goes around to exhibits all over the country now. If you ever see it, it has a sticker in the rear quarter window "Powered By Harpold"
Strange car, only about 1600 made. Two options, Paint scheme A or B and AM radio or not.
That was paint option B above, with AM radio.
14 second quarter right off the dealer show room floor, that one is a little faster.

I had never seen the car in person, pictures on the shop wall.
I was at Quaker Steak and Lube eating and this car was on the hoist over my table.
When I was done eating I got up and was looking at the car, saw "Powered by Harpold" in the rear quarter window.
So I called my buddy and said I was sitting eating under this car and it was dripping oil on my steak.
He started laughing, oh you are at Charleston Quaker Steak and Lube eating then and no it did not drip oil on your steak.
Turned out he was contacted by the owner to haul it from Charleston WV to somewhere in PA two days after I called him.

We had a 4 door 4 cylinder Rambler in our family when I was growing up-----great,fast,lightweight car-----We had to have it bored out 2 times before I got out of the family---It would leave black tire marks across a 60' concrete drive at our local gas station. Oh did I say that this was in second gear from a dead stop. Fast very fast.
