If it is just the two bent bars not much can be done without a little investment. I have a $100 suspension seat on my ZTR. made a big difference, but is not free. Also if shopping seats pay attention to the new height. A lot of them are higher to fit the suspension components.
You could look into replacing the bent bars with coil springs and a little damper. Custom fab job.
Thanks for the info Robbay, I had a similar issue with a John Deere 318 I once owned and put a Deflated football under the seat and then partially filled it with air!!!!!! LOL worked well for a short time till it wore through the football
Sheldon,l I just last week bought that unit for my son for his birthday. He has a Kubota Kommander 122 zero turn. He is in Vermont and has ten hilly acres with some areas of pretty rough ground. He cheaped out and got his new mower without a suspension seat and it is kicking his butt!
The kit is universal, but not quite. He has to drill some holes in it to fit his mower. No biggie. He won't have it until Thursday, so no info yet on how the install went.
I am thinking of getting one for one of my 16Gs. There are some butt kicking spots on the properties I mow. The stock seat springs help, but only a little.
Our friend Al(Canary Al) passed on Feb. 12th after suffering a massive heart attack on Jan. 28th. I spoke to his daughter and she expressed how much he loved his Gravelys. No doubt he had a true passion for these machines, to learn about them, to improve them, and to make friends along the way...
I actually went out today and was gonna try to get my L Model started but have to put fuel line on and filter, shut- off valve and the like but as usual got stopped in my tracks. Anyhow I got out this shut-off valve " with filter " and couldnt figure out just where that fragile little...
Hi, I have a 5240 walk behind. I love the machine but I basically have no Hi range and it slips a little on steep inclines an I need to give it a manual push...F & R work and the the mower works but is the loss of Hi range and slipping up hills the clutches ? I see Roger Beno has great videos on...
If I start my 5240 and I don't keep my hand on the forward/reverse control it moves forward on its own. I don't see any adjustments to keep this from happening, but maybe I'm missing something obvious. Sorry if this has been covered before, I couldn't find it in a search.
