have to replace the things
on rim that are like a giant rubber band
w/hole for tire valve
they protect the tube from
spoke fasteners in rim
anybody know what they're called?

sorry guys
didn't get the e mail things
about your answers
just got bike parts today
couldn't find 'em on walmart.com
to save our lives
asked for 26" rim 'liners'
at local bike shop
knew right away what we meant
yeah we're just different
here in california

on amazon.com they call
them 'rim strips'
and obviously if
you get yourself
to local bike shop
they'll figure it out
eventually no matter
what you call them

If you want to save a few bucks, we used to replace them on our dirt bikes with a few wraps of duct tape strips. Works fine and they don't move around when changing tires.

that's 2 votes for tape
electrical and duct
local bike store has rubber band things
so we did it by the book
yes it did do that
moving so it's against the
tire valve thing
going to ride it a little
let air out and line it up
turning into launching the space shuttle here

ok
a third way to do it
cut old tube into strips
we did get extra strip from bicycle shop
next flat we'll replace another one too
heat here destroys rubber stuff
