The gap in the spring coils should be the width of the spring wire diameter.

Alright I read the instructions first of ll but still don't get it.
You turn the handle in front and then look at the spring and adjust it to the width of the spring?
I adjust it but where do you look for the width at?
Are the talking about width of the whole spring or spring wire?
