How do you adjust the clutch? I have been able to get it adjusted so that the blades seem to be turning ok, but as soon as I start mowing, it seems to back off on the adjustment, and the blades stop turning.

There is a sticky at the top of this forum that has many service manuals in it, including the one for the clutch. Access it, read it carefully and then adjust your clutch accordingly.

Have you had the tractor for a wile, or just get it??

From what I have seen its VERY common for those clutches to have been taken apart, and reinstalled incorrectly. I would first do the adjustment as listed in the sticky, then if you still have issues, take it apart, and make sure all is put together correctly, and that there is no major wear on the parts.
