Is there a mechanized way to pick up / vacuum/ collect acorns and hickory nuts? I thought that the Cyclone Rake might be capable but when I called them they said that if your mower blades don't pick them up and discharge them, then the Cyclone Rake wouldn't be helpful. I do appreciate their honesty.

Cyclone Rake has a piece of equipment that picks up nuts. It has discs that the nuts stick between and it then dislodges them into the bagger. Sort of like the thing they use at golf driving ranges.

This says they have a walk behind and a tow behind.

A lawn sweeper seems to do fairly well also, but it would be better if it were out front so you don’t drive over the nuts first.

So, Cyclone Rake is correct (& glad to see they didn't misrepresent their product - says something these days). Our Cyclone Rake has a 9hp & will only grab the acorns that are on top of the grass... & that is if the Exmark pulls them up...

Never tried one of these & they are pricey:

Cyclone Rake list a product on their website that RT3360 mentioned but it doesn't seem to be available... If the Cyclone model was available I might lean that way only because of the experience we've had with their product & support with our Cyclone Rake....

The deer and squirrels do a pretty good job around here.
