Is there any forward backward compatibility for JD X300/X500 machine accessories. I have heard that snowplows and snowblowers for X300/X500s will fit on GT/GX 2**/3**, but I am not sure if that's true. If it is, does that mean that I could buy a snowplow from a GT225 for instance and have it fit my X304.

I had heard that if you had a GT235 or GX345 and went to JD for a snowplow,that they would sell you one for a X500 and it would fit.

The only attachment that are compatibal from the older GT & GX to the X500 series are the 30inch tiller,Manual lift sleeve hitch & the 42inch Hydraulic tiller. The X500 & X300 Dozer blade and snow blower use a diffrent subframe to attach Implement to tractors. With Blade part itself Yes but you would not get the X500 subframe to stick on a GT200 or GX300 series. Hope this clarifies things :thThumbsU

Been looking for a used blade myself for the X500... As Sarge suggests, the 48" blade is the same for GX/GTs and the X500, but the frame is different. I know how much it sucks, because there are tons of the GX/GT blades for sale (and cheap too!) and very few for the X500s. Trying to decide between keep looking and waiting for a X500 blade or if I should just shell out the $$ for a new one. I'm sure they'll be readily available used in about 5 years. :crybaby:
