Background: I bought a Troy Bilt Pony tiller from the factory in the Fall of 1982. I uncrated and did the assembly myself and I still have the original documents (less shipping info and invoices). The serial number printed on a sticker attached to the tine hood and recorded in the Owner's Manual (also stamped on the transmission housing (no id plate then)) is 0912C. I can hear some of you saying "What?????, No way" but I can assure you that is the number. I know it does not matchup with anything I have been able to find in several on-line searches. The original engine is a Briggs and Stratton, Model # 130292; Type: 1664-01; Code: 82081307. I sure am interested in hearing your comments. I used this tiller until early 2002 when I switched to plowing and cultivating with a tractor (I have room to turn at the end of the rows). I need to repair/replace the starter rope rewind mechanism and go through the fuel system this Winter as I plan to use it this Spring.
