My parents had a tree fall on Friday. Big oak. Once we get the tree cleaned up I can assess the damage.

Poor Deere. Looks like a 345 or similar? Looks like the radiator got crushed, if it is a liquid cooled model. Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully the damage isn't all that bad.
Wow sorry about your luck. I hope it isn't to bad. If anything it would be a descent parts tractor if you found another like it

Mikey.
Sorry to see that. It looks like a 345 or LX289? Hopefully the engine block wasn't cracked by the tree:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:
That oak tree would of bounce right off my X720.........:sidelaugh :thThumbsU
i'll be right over to pick it up
Poor little machine. :( Sorry about the tree crushing it.

Not likely, trees are only scared of diesels. :hide: :sidelaugh

Now that's funny right there. :sidelaugh

Am also sorry for the OPs loss. The engine in that pic doesn't look do good.
bad time for a joy ride.
IIRC it is an LX289, might be a 279. Liquid cooled Kawi. The hoods shot obviously, but I couldn't see if the plastic air box under the radiator broke as well, it almost certainly did. Aside from that I think it will be repairable. I feel bad for dad, he left the tractor out to mow the rest of the yard the next day instead of putting it away in the shed. Don't think he'll ever leave it out again. I'll get some more pictures when we get it cleaned up.

Fate had it out for that tractor. If he had put it in the shed a different tree would have fallen and wrecked the shed as well. At least that's what I tell myself when stuff like this happens.

That should buff right out.
planes,trains and deeres
Man,sorry to see/hear about that! your dad must feel real bad! Thank God no one was hurt at least.
His Homeowners insurance should cover it along with the tree if he turns it in that is........KJD
"Oh deere"... Time for a new tractor, maybe some thing a little stronger. I would use caution about dealing with home owner ins, they may try to pro rate the tractor down to little or no value or totally avoid the claim , & still raise your ins rate !
That oak has probably smashed the radiator (on top), battery, dash, and steering. I replaced the hood (top and bottom) on my GX345 once. It cost about 500ish.

Must have made an awful noise. Good luck!!
