I always get a little melancholy when I scroll the estate sales - someone had to pass on for us to get a chance to drool over these rigs - but boy oh boy oh boy, did this fellow have good taste in his garden tractors:

FERGUSON ESTATE AUCTION

The obvious problem is that Labadie, Missouri, is a LONG way away - at least to the extent that this seems like an overwhelmingly East Coast bulletin board.

And it's on a weekday [Thursday, October 28th], which really cuts back on the opportunity for a good road trip.

But if you lived in, say, western Tennessee/Kentucky/Illinois, and if you had the day off - then, well, whew - those are some nice-looking rigs...

I truly like the later, Pro series style hoods....but I still can't get over how much of a cavity is created in the engine compartment area with that Robin motor. The Kohlers and Briggs' just fill that area out so much better.

I wanted to bump this thread one last time - just in case anyone around here can get the day off tomorrow - or if anyone knows someone [who knows someone who knows someone] who could get the day off and attend this auction.

Those look like three very, very, very nice tractors, and it sure would be nice if they could find a loving home to go to for the next part of their lives - I'd hate for them to end up outdoors, in the elements, and turn to rust...
