Here is one of my old mowers that is in need of repairs....doesn't have spark...and is missing the drive gears that turn the wheels.

Nice Lawn Boy, great project.

Are you planning to leave it as a push mower?

or are you playing with the idea of fixing the self propel (might be expensive finding parts and time consuming unless you still have everything at your finger tips).

Either way, you will have an interesting adventure and final product for us to enjoy.

Keep us posted!

I hit it a bit with the pressure washer...and cleaned up the tank with a Scotch Brite pad. Next I will see if I have a good coil for it...and try to source the gears.

A good pressure washer helps the cleaning process quite a bit.
I used degreaser, a rag and water hose in the past and it would have taken a couple hours to clean one up....I spent less than an hour messing with this one today....I was suprised to see how much of the white stuff it took off the tank.

I have a set of drive gears and an extra transmission for that mower if interested.

Got a recoil starter? I need one. That engine is just like the one on my steel deck 7073
Nice solid machine. :thThumbsU
I have the commercial version of this machine and like it.. just hesitant to put much use on it, it's practically new condition and those wheels/transmission parts/etc. are hard to come across.
