Those "earlier" 8000 series tractors are beasts. Thanks for the pics!

Yeah that tractor is a beast no doubt.
I pull a 7 shank ripper that should require 200 more hp than that one has.
Glad you enjoyed the pics.

When I retired in Idaho I worked summers for one of the local barley farmers. They had an 8650, an 8450, three old Steiger Panthers, a 375 HP Case IH and a 425 HP Case IH. You could really cover some ground w/ any of them. It was really somethin' to see how much ground you could cover w/ a 60 ft. harrow doing 7 mph. or a 34 ft digger doing 5 mph. Quite a far cry from the old Farmall H I ran as a kid.
Let's see some pics of the rest of your fleet, Dave.

Mike those green steigers are bullet proof tractors. A couple guys around here run them, one mean green machine lol.
Yup with those larger impliments you sure can cover some ground.
I'll get a few more pics up tomorrow, not going to the other farm today.

Yeah, those old Steigers are tough. I always loved the sound of that 3406 Cat pullin' a digger up a slight hill.

Here's a couple more.
The first is the 7520 it is the chore tractor, I'm in this tractor more than my truck!

The second is the 7830 with an IVT, this is our primary hay tractor.
But we use it for other jobs as well.

Thanks Mike.
Yeah we're partial to the green.
The one thing about JD is you get your horsepower to the ground better than most brands.
