My 990 (White 1650) has developed a serious hydro leak out the front/input shaft of the Eaton-11 pump. Once it warms up, it starts coming out pretty bad. Actually real bad. :crybaby:

I've got the fenders, floorboards & tunnel off -- but not the drive shaft & fan. I'm not really looking forward to going any deeper, but I can't leave it this way.

Anyone here ever replace the seal(s) or whatever it might take to fix this? Or should I be taking this to an actual mechanic?

I wonder how expensive a repair like that might be?

Thanks for any info!

Thanks Chagrin,

I had been on that page a few times already but only after your reply did I understand that there are actually pdf's available if you click through for them.

In case anyone in the future stumbles on this thread, I found another good one to link to:

I still haven't committed to tearing into it, but it's really weighing on my mind. It looks like getting the drive shaft off will be a challenge in itself. Belt drive not looking so bad right now. ;-)
