Thread started for "Marek 22".



I have a problem with the gearbox in this tractor.
>> if each box is 20% and 70% of the synchronizer?

>> How do I know what synchronizers are mounted in a box?

The transmission can have no speed reducer or a 20% or a 70% speed reducer.

For tractors equipped with 20% the change is synchronised and can be changed on the move.

For 70% reducer the change is not synchronised and must only be changed stationary (tractor not moving )???

I need some info from your tractor ??

Is it an IH or Case IH tractor and what is its serial no ???

What is the transmission serial no ????

If yo look under left hand cab footstep at transmission filter you will see aflat machined area on which the transmission serial no is stamped, i need all the no's and letters stamped there, thank you ???

Next set of questions from "Marek 22"

In summary.
The tractor has three levers
First Gears 1,2,3,4 (issue of 4 over)
Second reverse forward (slow and fast) the problem of fast drive
5th lever for snail

can you send me a page from the catalog that synchronizers are
correct for my transmission.

The problem is with the MFD can not be disconnected.
You can send me a schematic diagram of electrical and Hydraulic.
Procedures for fault finding MFD.

Re above ZF or Gatziano syncroniser may be fitted, you will not know which untill the box is stripped.

Transmission jumps out of gear, May be worn detents, forks, syncro ???

4th gear lock up ????


MFD engaged all time so it has failed safe ?? May be electrical failure to solenoid on filter under l/hand cab step, or lack of oil supply in transmission to keep clutch pack in 2wd.??

Do brake lights work??
Reason !! when fuse feeding brake lights fails it also fails electrical feed for 2wd so tractor goes into permanent 4wd ?????
