8N hydraulic pump lesson needed

I've recently started learning about tractor mechanics,so I know a little about the basic operation of the 8N hydraulic pump from the owners manual,the FO-4 shop manual,the internet.My question is, I believe the system is a closed center pump on the 8N but I have never actually read that.When the control valve is in the neutral position the intake port is closed.Is it a closed center pump?Thanks mi amigos.
