Well guys, I got the 318 home that I bought a couple days ago! You can see the pics of it in my "Score!" thread! It runs great on a gravity fed tank! Deck raises
and lowers as it should and sound very healthy with only 750 hours on it. It
needs 2 front tires, a fuel pump, all deck belts, battery and a gas cap! Well,
the wife and I just got back from Farm and Fleet and got a couple things
bought! I decided to go with the electric fuel pump instead of a new "stock"
pump from JD for $90! I found this low pressure one for $38! So, I bought 10'
of fuel line, clamps, fuel filter, and the pump! I'm pretty excited. I will go back
tomorrow and order the tires and buy the battery. I forgot the core battery at
home or I would have got it tonight... I asked the counter guy and see if I will
have to run that pump from a separate switch or can I "piggyback" it from the
ignition switch? Thanks for the help guys! I may need some help so any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks again!

Tonka

wired mine to the hour meter so it would prime the carb when you put the key in the "battery" posistion.

Any pics guys? I am also wondering where to mount it also. Maybe under the battery tray? Somewhere halfway between the tank and carb so it won't have to work as hard?? Just ground it to the frame or the battery also?:thanku:

I had a pump like the one you have,I mounted on the left outside of the frame under the area where you foot rests.I think mine was a push only and has to be below the tank.

Pump is hooked up, front wheels are getting new tires and all new fuel lines have been ran! Runs very solid and idles very smooth! How often does the hydro filter need to be changed? Also, the main pulley on the deck is very sticky. Guess, I will be doing a deck bearing replacement...:dunno:

I love the loader. Only had it for a few months, but I've found all sorts of uses for it.
Only thing that would be better is if I had a tractor with food hydro controls to free up a hand.

let me know when I can drop mine off for paint. :D

oh, and let's see some before pictures.
I will get some pics of before! I had a price of $650 to paint it! I may hold off for
a bit on that. That price includes sandblasting of deck, wheels, pulleys and all
panels, primer, base and clear coat! That also includes the cost of paint and
materials... What do you guys think?
