Those early Brit cars were underpowered and persnickety but still fun if the owner liked to tinker. A Ford V-6 would turn a Midget into a stealth rocket but brakes and steering were marginal. Don't ask how I know.

there was one around here 20yrs. ago with a 327 stuffed in it . they should have just done that at the factory! My mother had a 66 healey with inline 6 it would leave an MG in the dust!! they were pretty reliable if you drove the crap out of it once a week,if you didn't the carbs got gummy!
