my 7016 finally runs and cranks everytime. the center mower spindle is fried. i was thinking of ditching the mower all together and use if for a utility tractor. i have the blower vaccum attachment, trailer and blade. i cant put any more money in this mower, but was wondering what it will take to fix the mower deck. the center spindle bearing are gone, the race is gone that the whole thing flops around. i tried taking the top side pulley off and could not get it off. i wonder now where to get the parts to fix it. thanks

There are several types of arbors used on the 7016 decks. The 2 bearings will run you around $8 each, hopefully you won't need shafts. A Simplicity dealer can get any of the shafts, housings, or pulleys you might need. If you have the manufacturer # of your deck make sure you take it along when ordering parts.

thanks for the reply . another question. i need a new hose from the leaf blower to the trailer. what can i use? also any suggestions for keeping grass from clogging the chute going to the blower?

I bought a new hose for mine from the local lawn equipment dealer, cheaper then ordering the exact part, but not cheap, somewhere around $10/foot for my 7" dia. hose. just measure the diameter and length, or bring them the old one.
