This is a follow-up to my post about pros and cons of a 2320. There were no replies so I continued my research and so far I haven't uncovered anything negative or problematic about that model. I'll probably purchase it this fall after mowing season.

I'm still looking for opinions I mowing decks. According to the dealer I can fit a 60" and/or 62" deck under this tractor. The salesman wasn't 100% sure they'd both work but said they had both as takeoffs and would work with me to figure it out. In other words, bring it down, let's find out.

My question: which deck provides the better quality cut? Most of our 5 acres of grass is nice grass and although it grows like crazy in the spring I'm looking for good stripping, fine grass clippings since I can't bag 5 acres.

I've got the 62c on my 2305. The 2320 has the drive-over capability my 2305 doesn't. If I had 5 acres of nice lawn I'd definitely go for the 72" 7-iron drive over. The wider the deck the easier to get closer to trees and such & the blade speeds are tremendous.

It absolutely will fit the 2320. That was one of the best reasons for the 2320 over the 2305 back in the day.

That 72" 7-iron deck is a beast & worth every penny. My dealer once had a 72" non-drive over deck from a trade & I wish I would have bought it for my 2305

phillijp, I have a very low hour 62d on ramp mower deck off my 2320 that I would probably sell if your interested. I bought a new zero turn and don't think I will use the mower deck too much anymore. Its pretty much mint and has been washed, waxed, and used very little. Let me know if your interested, thanks
Also I could be mistaken but several of my friends and myself have 2320s and I know they had inquired about mounting a 72 inch deck on them with no success. I don't believe it will install on a 2320 without some sort of modification. I believe you had to go to a 2520 in order to get the 72 inch deck.
