Things are starting to come together. HH80 runs very well. Tons of power. This thing will lay posi rubber on tar. Reverse is good, all belts new. Installed a carb kit as it was leaking some. Had to add some material to the clutch lever lock with the mig welder since it was worn away from use.
I installed one of my home built belt guards because these old style guards come off with only 3 fasteners. The proper 65 guards must have 10, so during shakedown I opted for one of these with an old style foot peg too for simplicity's sake in case the guard has to come off for adjustments or whatever.
Stole the grille, hood and dash from the 65 sub 8 I got from GT80. Sorry James but it's only temporary until I can find a permanent one for it.
All 3 belts are new. New fuel line, shut off and carb kit. Head gasket replaced and head flat sanded back into tolerance. Cleaned all cooling fins out and repaired the blower housing cracks.
Still needs a few things but is operable. Side cover gasket needs to be replaced at some point. Leaks, but not bad. Speed changer needle bearings should be replaced too. They were spent when I got the tractor but I put 2 used ones in it so it can be run. They're ok but I'll replace them when I get some.
Took it out in the garden to try cultivating with it and am happy to report that it is running in fine form. Snapped a few pics,
Thanks again to HughSS16 for sending it my way,.. Rick
