I'm working on this bobcat, the owner let it sit for 3 years. I replaced the pistons, had valves replaced at a machine shop, new points,
condenser, distributor cap & rotor cap, wires, and spark plugs. Had carburetor rebuilt at the only carb shop in town. It will start and operate for about 10 minutes at mid throttle. Since the engine is air cooled does anybody know if there is a temp. sensor or some electrical component that I over looked. It almost seems like it is shutting down for lack of fuel. I installed a clear inline fuel filter and on cold startups I can see the fuel moving. On morning start ups it will run for about 30 min before it shuts down.

Is there a fuel cap vent? Loosen the cap and see if it still shuts down. If not, then the vent is blocked.
