Hi. I picked up a pretty nice 6111, with a 3-speed transmission, plus reverse. The engine starts easily and runs good. But the clutch won't function correctly, as the trans belt never slackens sufficiently no matter how much I try to adjust it. The transmission pulley continues to spin and the only way to get the tractor to move is to force the shift lever into gear. Likewise, once the tractor is moving, stepping on the clutch pedal does nothing to stop it. Has anyone else wrestled with this issue, and if so, what can you suggest? Thanks!

I should mention that the tractor has a replacement I engine I installed. I'm wondering if the new engine drops the crank pully an inch or so further from the trans than the original engine did. If so, I guess I'll need a longer belt. I'll compare the two engines and see if that's what's going on here.....
