60D and Gator blades

I just put a set of Gator blades on my 60D. I noticed that they are a bit longer than the OEM ones but there is still adequate clearance. I mowed a couple of times and was well pleased with the overall cut. However during the second mow there was a couple of times where I heard a clicking noise (8-9 clicks), almost like the blades were touching. I checked everything over and there doesn't seem to be anything amiss. The blades are tight, there are no contact marks on the blades or underside of the deck. I also have the mulch kit installed.

Any thoughts? :dunno:

Since there's not any obvious contact points, keep running it and see if it happens again.
I have a set of G6 gator blades for my 54C deck. I haven't tried them with the mulch kit installed. How do they work for you?
They work great except for that "clicking" noise. We put a set on my son's X720 (with 54C) and they are just fine.

Yep, did it again. I mowed for about 10 minutes and it happened once briefly. The terrain was level with no bumps.
Check and see that each blade is "seated" on the spindle. I've seen blades get cockeyed on a spindle and hit each other before making exactly the sound you've described.

I am using the high lift version on my 7-Iron with no noises.:thThumbsU
I will check the blades to make sure they are seated properly but if they weren't, wouldn't they be noisy all the time?
