just bought it,and was wondering if there good for pulling flywheels and blade adapters.or do i need a different kind of puller for that?
It depends on the style of puller, is it a flat one or one with hooks ?just bought it,and was wondering if there good for pulling flywheels and blade adapters.or do i need a different kind of puller for that?
hooks,i tried it on a a mower i had for scrap and somthing tells me it either not strong enough or im not useing the right kind....It depends on the style of puller, is it a flat one or one with hooks ?
course.course or fine thread ???
ok that is a big help,i always thought you keep tighening til they pop.do you think this will work on blade adapters? How are you using it? Are you just tightening down on it? They are designed to be tightened down on and then using a heavy hammer strike the top of the bolt. This "vibration" will break free most flywheels. You may have to strike the bolt hard several times to break it free!
that gives me a good idea but ill see how this 3 jaw works for me...if it works.I use the Lisle harmonic balancer puller to do just about all the pulling chores I have to do #51700, it's expensive $149.99 but they do have a smaller kit that will work just as well $29.99.
A friend of mine has very good luck with their steering wheel puller about $15, or you can by an OEM but that gets expensive real fast and you wind up with several tools.
Yep done it to many.ok that is a big help,i always thought you keep tighening til they pop.do you think this will work on blade adapters?
ok heres another question i have, when pulling the blade adapter off or flywheel off,are you sapposed to put the nut/bolt back on a few threads so it doesent split the shaft or damage threads?Yep done it to many.
