Took the 120R off of the 1025R so I could install the snowthrower to move it under cover. Didn’t bother installing the PTO shaft. Anyhow, the outer half of the PTO shaft attached to the snowthrower itself came off, and I can‘t seem to get it put back together. I can get it to go maybe 1/16” or so but won‘t go any further. What am I doing wrong?

Mike - It looks like the plastic collar in the second photo, is supposed to slide over & around the plastic collar in the first photo.

I don't have a JD, but that's how it works on my Kioti attachments/implements.

Is one of the collars slightly warped, so that it won't slide over & around?

Is the collar in the first photo retractable, to lock the shaft when released?

So it turns out the splines are keyed such that it will only go back together one way.

I was going to suggest that Mike, as the same was the case with the Berco blower we owned previously.
