Since this involves the lubing of my final drives I figured it'd go here. I am totally new to restoring tractors. i have done cars and many trucks. I have a 1951 IH Farmall Cub. I know I need to check the lube in my final drives, but at the risk of sounding dumb, could someone take a picture and post where the final drives are? i know they are somewhere at the end of my rear axles. I promise I'm not as dumb as I sound, I'm just a real newb here. Aren't there pans where the lube goes? Thanks ahead of time. :thanku:

Here is a pic of a final drive. Gearlube is in the pan bolted to the bottom. Fill plug location in second pic. To drain you need to remove the pan.

One more question. Any idea how much coolant it takes? I'm trying to get it ready for a long stored up winter or should I drain it completely?
