So since i have gotten the 49 snowblower (had it for 2 days) I want to do the hydro chute mod. I looked weekendwarors site but still could not get a good grasp of what i need. I am not sure about hydro port size. I saw people talking about SAE 10 or NPTF I am a put confused. This is the motor i am looking at. Its small and powerful enough. Some of the motors Ive seen used are huge and mucho overkill. I got mine for $50 off Ebay brand new.:trink40:

How would you guys go about attaching the shaft of the orbit motor to the spool on the snowblower??

When I made mine electric (window motor), i made a bracket & a new shaft through the cable spool. Left the old system usable if I want to go back to original.

That is a clean install. Looks great!
