Looking for some help here as I have looked all over the Internet to no avail.

I have a 4518 tractor with the grass catcher. The lower chute assembly P/N: 81230-758-U00 for the grass catcher is worn out and looking for a replacement.

Would appreciate any leads that anyone may have on where to get this as Honda no longer manufactures this part. Am willing to buy new or used. Or, if anyone has an alternate part that may work, would be interested in that as well.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, part number is fine, but pics would help you find one.

What size deck, 38", 42", 46"?

Standard or power bagger with blower?

Thanks for the tip Larry. Here are some pics. This is from a 42" mower deck with the power blower for the grass catcher. As one can see from the second pic, the bottom of the lower chute is worn away. Appreciate any help in finding a replacement,
Ya, that's a very specific part, specific to the power bagger, and probably really hard to find a used one without buying the complete power bagger. I had a power bagger a few years but can't remember that exact discharge chute.

Over the winter, I'd try really cleaning and roughing it up then layering the worn area with auto body fiberglass cloth and resin.

Working on heavy waxed paper you can build up a patch 4 or 5 layers thick, then lay it on the worn chute and work the bubbles out. Probably turn out tougher than the original.

At the website that slednut recommended I believe the list price was $158.
Thanks, not too bad I guess for a large part, specific to only certain models.

Reason I asked is I have one here (up in Canada) and the blower motor etc., that I guess I should sell. I've now gone to a Walker mower with an internal blower motor and built in grass catcher.

First concern would be shipping. I'm up here in Ont Cda, where abouts are you?

It has been sitting indoors on a shelf for a couple years so will have to check to be sure that the blower still spins ok.

Haven't thought about value / price at this point. I have the chute / power blower / belt cover / deck drive pulley / belt. What would it all be worth to you?

Thanks.

Not familiar with your system so had to look you up.... Florida...... must be nice, cold and snowing up here.

$200 US seems reasonable. I will have to check it all out first to be sure all is ok and can post pics.

Shipping ? I have never done this before. Do you have a Fastenal supplier nearby. Others have said they ship store to store with their regular orders, for very reasonable rates. Some have shipped whole GTs this way.

Border crossing / customs ? Maybe not a problem if listed as "used lawn mower parts". Honestly don't know myself. Have you done this before?

Larry, I have a Fastenal store near my home. If this can be done via them that would be awesome. Here is the address: 502 N Orange Ave
Green Cove Springs, FL USA 32043

Have never done any international shipping except at work and I know that sometimes it can be painful but am willing to undergo the pain if you are.

Thanks again. George

Hi George, if you have done any shipping at work, then you are way ahead of me. Maybe you can even arrange shipping thru work.

Nearest Fastenal to me is at 2835 Argentia Rd. Mississauga, Ont.
phone 905 826 0160, fax 905 826 6061.

Again, I have never used them for shipping before myself, I would ask your store if they can arrange the pick up from this location, if you go this method.

I just checked out the unit, and all appears well, and as I remember. Bottom of the chute and blower housing show signs of scuffing but no real wear. The belt guard still has the original wing screws to attach and the belt looks ok as well. The blower has all the metal brackets, pulleys etc. so is quite heavy.

I can weigh it all later if needed for a quote.

See what you can find out about shipping and border crossing concerns. I know one of the concerns is no soil/dirt transfer, tractors must be powerwashed before crossing.

Will try to get pics later today.

Fastenal was the only one I was aware of. Was afraid border crossing might be a problem. Lots of Ebay ads say will not ship to Canada yet others have no problem.

"antique status" might make it simpler as opposed to new product status. No tariffs etc.

Can only suggest asking UPS / Fedex / post office.

Would guess at about 35 lbs.

Here's some pics of the discharge chute and belt guard I just took.

Scuffing is visible but nothing thinning or weakening the bottom.

Larry, it appears that there are stores in Canada that go by the name of Chit Chat and they have a direct relationship with the USPS and much cheaper than either FEDEX or UPS to the US.

According to their website there is one near? you:
6355 KENNEDY ROAD, UNIT 4
MISSISSAUGA ON L5T 2L5
Canada

Phone
905-670-3070

Can you check this on your end to see if this is feasible? And, have you thought about how to package all of the items into one container for shipping?

Thanks. George
