I have the wonderfully cheap and simple troy bilt Pony - for around $800 I got this thing new back in 2013 and it has been a pretty good mower. Definitely not the best, but a good value.
The only issue I ever have with it is the dang deck scalping when I turn. I have leveled the deck multiple times, and even unleveled it and tried turning in one direction (this was desperation - leave me alone, my lawn looked like crap and I still scalped the hill). If it had the cheap plastic anti-scalp wheels it would free float with the hill when I turn. My deck does not have the pre-dimpled holes, but I was going to get the kit and make it work anyways - has anyone else been through this and have any good pointers?
