Our local fire station has a '60's 12 ton Mercedes 4wd firetruck still in service.
I've never seen it leave the station, but they told me it's fully operational and part of the fleet.
I hope I never have to wait for it though; those things are SLOW.
Had a superload go by my house tonight on a small State Highway, escorted by State Police and with lead vehicles, pusher truck and all sorts of support vehicles. Quite the convoy.

I have a 1978 Southwind motor home that I striped down to a rolling chassis and a 440 Dodge engine, runs excellent , has headers and a factory alum. intake with (Elderbrock-440 Dodge) stamped on it. only one I ever seen. 91 thousand mile on it, the 2 ton chevy will go on this camper frame...
