38" deck isn't cutting it any more, a nice 50" would be nice, how to find one in NJ ?

have had a 38" deck on my 1986 316 for nearly 30 years now, needed it back in the day to cut between some xmas trees out back.

now i'm looking for a larger deck, preferably a 50" in central NJ. have not had any luck finding one.

anyone got any leads or tips on one in NJ

There's a very used one in Chaffee New York on ebay. Not sure how far you are from there. Looks like it will require some refurb

I'll keep an eye out for any. Unfortunately in NJ I rarely see them for sale. But there sure are plenty of 46" decks out there. If time passes and you don't find one, you might have good luck with a 46" since there are so many of them. My 46" cuts great even when the blades are dull, as long as I'm mowing actual grass and not weeds/crabgrass. Lots of 46" decks around. Someone on CL is selling a 46" mower deck that I sold them a few months ago, for twice as much as I sold it to them for. Kind of annoying...I know it's the same deck because it had no gauge wheels, had a new belt, and was missing one spring pin on the draft arm.

would prefer a 50, but a nice 46 might work too

Keep an eye on E-bay too. I've seen them on there fairly often.
