Yesterday went out to the shed to fire up the 318 to bring it up to change the oil and get it ready for winter use.. Well after I bring it up shut it off to remove the mower deck and get it up on jack stands to do alittle TLC to her it wont start. All I am getting is a click click down on the right hand side under the battery... Replaced the battery with a known good one and it still does the same thing.. Any Ideas guys????? I've run out of options need help.Thanks.........

Does it have the starter improver whatchama thingy harness? If not you might want to get that for when you get it fixed.

I have removed and cleaned all the grounds. Even the one that is connected to the side shield. Moved that on down to the frame drilled and new hole and ground the paint off. How do you check the seat switch? Also when I move the PTO to on it will not do anything so I am guessing that is working. Then when I move the shifter out of nutural that seams to be working also. The only thing I am not sure of is the seat switch how to see if thats working. Thanks a lot guys for all the help so far....... Keep them coming cause the wife wants her side of the garage back ASAP

The clicking that you are hearing is it a click click click like a starter problem or a click-clunk click-clunk like the circuit breaker is opening and closing? If the breaker you have a short.

(Edited to add the circuit breaker is under the battery on the right hand side which is why the above question was raised.)
