318 hydraulic steering issue

I need to replace an old 318 steering column and it only has 4 ports and I cant find any 4 port columns, just 5 port, but that's okay, I may upgrade it later, can I just cap off the open port, or do I need to tee it back into the line going back to the hydro? Thanks
