316 Pics

Hey guys,
I just finished putting my 316 back together today. It was almost a complete redo. The engine short block and transmission were left alone. Other than that, every gasket, bearing, seal, bolt, hose, decal (except the deck ones) and most everything electrical was replaced.
The seat is a mess, hence the cover. I going to try and fit my stock 2520 seat to it. I went one size up on the front tires.I think they are going to have to grow on me though. A friend at work painted the seat pan, side covers and hood. I spray bombed everything else.
What you think?

Greg

That's hawt!!!

Ugh, I'm twisted. LOL
That looks wonderful. Nice job!
Looks GREAT!

Nice to have another 316 brother in here. I do have one question, how do you like your seat cover? Does it stay in place as you use your 316? My seat, believe it or not has not yet cracked but I'd like to cover mine anyways. But I have heard on here that those covers slide around when in use, is that true?

Hey Swigin,
Yes,it slides around. Not so much while I"m on it.
But I find I'm adjusting it every time I get off.

Looks amazing. Great work!
Thank you all for the kind words.:)

sweet ride!
Great looking 316!
looks good! after looking at the pics, I kinda like the look with the larger front tires!
Looks great! What size arer the front tires? The ones on my 316 look a little short to me. Probably because I have a Wheel Horse GT-14 and Cub super sitting around.
I just got through putting a tube in one of the Cubs 18-8.50-8 tires after pricing a new one at TSC for $48. They must be made from more expensive rubber than they look.

Looks great. Nice job. Love the reflection in the paint. The tires would have to grow on me too. I thought about putting them on my 318 too. But, ended up going with a set of 16 -7.50 x 8's.

I put on 18-8.50 X 8's. They were 55 apiece from Miller Tire.

I am thinking about doing the same thing on my 332... Do the tires hit the deck on sharp turns? And were you able to get the deck leveled out?

Sweet looking tractor!!!

Hello snoyes,
The tires have plenty of clearance, and yes,I was able to level the deck easily.
Those tires will look real good on your 332.:fing32: I saw a pic of one (332) with those tires.
That's where I got the idea.:)

Sweet, thanks for the reply.... Miller tire has the stangle hold on those, I'll try and order them up today!!!
Hello Guys,

As you can see, I like the V61's myself. On my 332, I bought front wheels for a 455 which is a wider wheel and the tire has a straighter side wall this way. I have a 50" deck on my 332 and the tires will and do hit the deck at near full lock. Not really a problem, just a learning curve for the first few times you mow !!!

On my 140, I have 400 wheels for the added width. I have a 48" deck on this one with only a slight problem at full left lock.

I have the 50 inch deck and would be looking to mount on stock rim width, so my guess is I will have some clearance issues.. What size rear tires did you go with on you 332?
snoyes,

Yes, I think you would have as much or possibly more of an issue with the narrower wheels.

The rear tires I have on both the 140 & 332 are the Tru Power 26x12-12's. They work very nice in dirt & snow and are easy on the turf as well.
That's what I thought... I regret not going with the 26s now, they look so much better than the 23s that I have. Live and learn I guess, I was worried about interference with the deck, so I defaulted to the smaller tires. Awesome looking tractors!!
