3000 series weight bracket question

Hi all -

Who here can tell me if I can use the Cub Cadet front weight bracket (p/n 190-413-100) on my 3000 series while keeping the front hydraulic hitch assembly also installed?

Thanks in advance,

I believe it's the same frame mount point, so no.

From what I can tell, it is the same frame mount. It looks to me like the weight bracket may fit over the front hitch using the same mounting points.

If nobody here has tried to do it, I will reach out to Cub directly and see what they say. I will post whatever I learn from them.

The weight bracket will never clear the yoke. Besides, anything you hang on the yoke will outweigh the weights hanging on the bracket.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Thanks for the explanation. Can you explain your comments about hanging weight on the yoke? Are you suggesting an alternate way to hang weight?

I occasionally need weight up front, particularly this time of year when I have a fully loaded Cyclone Rake attached to the 3 point hitch. The front wheels barely touch the ground when the back end is loaded. So weight up front would be nice. After spending the afternoon dumping piles of leaves in front of my compost bin, I then use the dozer blade to push the piles of leaves in.

This is just one example of when I need weight up front while retaining the use of the front hitch. Another involves first using the tiller, then needing the blade to move the tilled soil. You get the picture.

Sounds like I need to start getting creative, or maybe pick up an extra pair of front tires to load. Until another solution strikes me, will just drive around with the front blade attached for a little extra weight.

Thanks again,

We made a simple mount to add extra lights ( when using the snowthrower for example). It was a handy starting point to add a piece of flat stock and hang four suit case weights.

Outstanding! I had a suspicion that tubular bar in front would become part of the solution. Much appreciated.
