Where in the world did they hide the serial number on my 285 ??? I have looked everywhere and cannot find it - the old 214 has a tag under the steering wheel . This 285 I just acquired does not -- any ideas ???

On my 265 the tag was on the rear hitch plate -- do you have a bagger on blocking it from view maybe?

No bagger -- Hitch area is in plain view but I don't see a serial # -

100 series of that vintage is over the left front wheel but i think you would have spotted that by now.

After further inspection I did find the serial # tag -- or part of it. It shows a 2 and an 8 - I guess for 285 -- and that's it. Is it anywhere else on the machine ???
