my 222 runs and cuts great now but if you push the engagement lever forward you can hear them speed up but if you let the lever go it creeps out of engagement does this just sound like an adjustment problem.
Your clutch is slipping and destroying itself. At the top of the forum are two "stickies". Open the one for the manuals and then find the "Clutch service manual" . Download it and study it until you can recite it in your sleep.
she was way loose. That adjustment wasnt as bad as some make it seem. now it clicks in nice, and stays in. smooth in out. im starting to love this ole 222
The clutch on these Case tractors is far more durable than any electric clutch made today. A minor adjustment now and then is a small price to pay for the longevity it will give you.
