:Stop::Stop: Hold on there pardner!! Don't try messing with the solenoid unless the key is OFF!! If it's on the engine could start and you could be opening yourself up to injury because jumping the solenoid you are bypassing the start circuit you are also bypassing all of the Safety interlocks (seat sw,, PTO, neutral sw. etc..)!! Another thing- you only need to jump from the battery side of the solenoid to the positive (small) terminal on the side of the solenoid! Jumping the big terminals makes a big spark and transfers a lot of electrical energy! You have to understand exactly what you are doing before jumping things.. Just my $.02Locate solenoid. And turn key on and take screw driver and touch the 2 big termerials. Motor should turn over.
