Like many before, I have a Hydro that slows when warm. I already know there is no drain plug. The local repair shops tell me that they don't repair, just replace. My cost for a new trans is around $900. Any other solutions out there? The newer Broadmoor units are over 4 grand and all plastic and tin. Would like to save this one if possible, but $900 is a lot of $

Are there any wrecking yards or used part places like for cars. or does someone sell remanufactured Hydro's?

Thanks

I rebuilt my Broadmoors hydro gear 312-0800 for around $200 in parts. Parts are easy to find and the tranny is pretty simple to work on.

Where did you aquire parts? My local dealers don't seem interested in ordering internal trans parts.

Found the parts to fix trans (They are in a box from Simplicity surrounded by a case) Bit it and bought a new hydro unit. Installing today.

Sorry I couldn't get back to your question. M & D Mower has the best prices on Hydro Gear parts. What are you going to do with the old unit?
