This is the gt my neighbor had me sand ,weld , and paint in exchange for the snapper , no before pictures , I've never seen a tractor in such sad shape , so many pit and rust and split places . The paint was her choice (dollar store) as was the lay out hope to be done this week with more pictures .

Looks great.

I wonder how close the battery terminals will be to that cover. It may be worth gluing on some sort of plastic/wood/whatever insulator strip on the inside above where the battery posts will be.
Look at the year on the motor. Generally add 1 year and have tractor year if it has original motor. Only Briggs 18 twin that I have seen with full cowling all the way to the muffler was 82 and earlier, But what do I know!!
BBY knows more about Murray's than I will ever know. Bet he could smell of it and tell you!!!
Once knew a guy that could roll down the car window, take a sniff, and tell you what kind of truck was ahead. Never saw him wrong and trucks were out of sight.
simply amazing

Nice GT, I like the battery cover too!! I have three of those tractors & two battery covers. I was thinking of something similar, to do to mine. What part of TN are you in? I'm from Knoxville.

Looks great to me SHD.
Yep! Looks like the owner should be pretty happy with what you did. Does it run as well as it looks?
