Hello, as the title suggests I have a 316 with an oil leak. It is coming out of the rear shaft that has the fan connected to it. I am not having any luck finding seals, gaskets, or kits for this. Is there anyone that has rebuilt one of these and knows a source for gaskets/seals?

I love the tractor but this may be a tractor killer as it is not drivable anymore. Or a source for a new oil pump/transmission set up.

What year is the 316? If it's just a leak by the fan, it's a simple seal replacement, but need to know which hydro unit. Also, grab fan and try to lift/move side to side. Bearing may (??) also be bad. Bob

It is a 1978. Yeah I agree the seal probably would be a pretty simple fix. I just am not seeing them anywhere for sale. The parts diagram that I was able to find didn’t show it as an option.

For a 1978 316, with the K341 Kohler, the rear hydro seal is M45400. Price shown is a Canadian price. It should be readily available.

Thank you, I believe this is what I am looking for. I pulled up something similar and either missed it or had the wrong thing pulled up.
