1972 Lawn Boy 3057 restore

Just got my 3057 back. I’m not mechanical, so I didn’t do the work. It was done by Charlie’s Restorations in NC. He does excellent work, but other than rebuilding the motor, I think I can do the rest myself, so I’m going to find a project to do myself in the near future. But this machine originally had a chunk missing from the front of the deck by the discharge. I had bought a NOS deck about 10-11 years ago, and it sat, just as the mower sat. I bought it not running. So I used the new deck on the restore, and the motor is completely rebuilt. Tried finding a NOS handlebar with no luck, and with the cost of rechroming, decided to paint the handlebar. I thought it came out real nice, and looks great with the new top grip. Runs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Very pleased. Here are some before and after pics.
