The decals came in and I couldn't resist trying them on for size, the paint has cured completely and they will peel back off easy enough. I kinda like them even though they are not spot-on accurate repros. I also temp installed a 1966 data plate just so it wouldn't look so bare.

This project will probably be a work in progress for awhile, I am going to try and get more accurate decals, along with the correct accessories like the pull handle and speed control lever, but for now I think I will use this one come spring time.

Hi Lawnboy77! Man that sure looks a lot different with the decals on there. Very nice job!!! I did want to let you know I called a bunch of Lawnboy servicers in the Quad City area and no one had a blue pull handle for a D. Well it was worth a shot. Keep up the good work! Bill

what id like to see on a not so perfect resto when you do remakes of the decals is,chage the wording to see if anybody would notice. such as "place foot on mower, not under" then "turn switch to on,pump primer 3 times" then "grip and pull chord and GO!"
