I looked at that thread - it's awesome! Thanks for the link. But...you can't use the front axle alone. I have an early '64 (SN 4,600) that has the fabricated steel front axle like the '63's have.

If you want to see changes...you'd be amazed at how much heavier duty my '65 is than my '64. There are changes on dang near every major component.

ET, You are welcome. And I should have known better, not to post that the tube axles were only used in 63. Deere has always used up left over stock from one model year to the next and many early year models had some of last years parts............ Sorry for that !!! You are correct !!!

Only collectors wouldn't compare them! Not saying you're wrong but there are people out there who don't understand how rare a 1963 is and their only basis for comparison is the model number. Until recently I didn't either and then got a lesson from the guy on eBay trying to sell one for $6000.00 with an 80 trailer. I don't agree with the value he placed on them, but I couldn't fault him for his knowledge of their rarity! By the way his price has dropped at least $1000 the last time I looked.

FWIW, the one in the linked photo that you are looking at does have a Kohler motor too... It could use fresh paint, but it looks like a good deal for that price and should make you a nice tractor.

I think they are like everything else and have come down in value. I saw one sell for $10,000 13 years ago. But that was then. I know a gentleman in Wisconsin that owns 21 of the 1963 110's. All of them are restored and have their own custom covers. The last one he bought to restore cost him 3 grand...... I am glad I don't want one.....

I just looked at the picture and saw the cushioned seat, and new that it wasn't a 63. In fact it is the same year that mine was! Better shape than mine but that was due to the PO! I sold the tractor, original brinly sleave hitch, snowblower, and tiller for $500 in 2007.

none of those are 63's though. I think that is the point, the first year is key!

63 was a good year for corvettes and tractors it seems... I can't remember that far back though

So. I asked the seller for more info, including serial number.
He said that the emgine does not smoke. He uses the tractor regularly for snow moving every winter.

And that t is actually a 1964 model. He put 1963 by mistake.
The serial number is: A 18250.
The tractor was purchased in US and brought to Canada.

Is it still worth $850CAD?

They came separate.
I am trying to get the blower mounted on the tractor but I have a tough time to figure out how to do it.
The fellow who sold me this set says no parts are missing and he used this blower on this tractor for moving snow.
Can someone tell me how should I go about it.
If more photos is needed I will post them.

I wish that one was mine - but mine's a liitle rougher and I don't have a blower. The pix I posted are of the 63 at my local dealer and I don't have any better shots that show how the blower attaches. If I can get back there soon with my camera I'll try to get a few that will help you out.

Will do the best I can. Part of what confuses me is that your machine still has the mower deck belt guide pulleys installed which I think need to be removed to mount the blower. So I'm not sure if the PO gave you the straight scoop or a snow job - I just don't know enough about the early 110s yet. We'll learn together.

The tractor came with the mowing deck attached and the blower separate.
I took the deck off. I did not know what else needed to be removed.
When I tried to mount the blower it seemed the points where it could be hooked up on the tractor are not aligned. This is my very first contact with a JD tractor and I am totally lost.
