Hello everyone, when i got my "O" I noticed a few issues with the hood. One of them being, when you open it, it opens til it lays on the front nose/grill. Which has chipped the paint off the nose of the tractor. Is this normal??? Or should there be a hood prop or rod to stop the hood from rotating all the way onto the nose piece??

The hood opening all the way is normal.

My 129 did the same thing and I rigged up a thick piece of wire that ran from the back of the hood to the top flat shroud on the engine to prevent it from moving too far forward. I believe it was supposed to originally have some provision for that but it had long been lost and as a result I found a large indentation on the front grille from previous owners letting it hang there.

All 3 of my CCOs open all of the way, the hood emblems don't hit but the hoods do.
